The study period for undergraduate programs is 4 years, for master's programs it is 3 years, and for doctoral programs it is 4 years. The study period for Chinese language learners is generally one year.

3. The language of instruction for degree programs is Chinese. Applicants with academic qualifications whose Chinese proficiency does not reach HSK Level 4 are required to choose to take one year of Chinese language remedial courses at Guizhou University when applying. Only those who pass the HSK exam can enter professional studies.

Application Requirements

Applicants must be citizens of Southeast Asian countries, in good health and have no record of bad behavior.

Students applying for an undergraduate degree must have a high school diploma and be no older than 30 years old. Applicants for a master's degree must hold a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35 years old. Applicants for a doctoral degree must hold a master's degree and be no older than 40 years old.

Scholarship content

This scholarship program is a full or partial scholarship jointly provided by the Department of Education of Guizhou Province and Guizhou University to international students from Southeast Asian countries. Applicants can choose to apply for a full or partial scholarship.

2. Full Scholarship: Tuition fees, on-campus accommodation fees, and medical insurance fees are waived. Living expense subsidies are provided: 1,000 yuan per month for undergraduates, 1,200 yuan per month for postgraduates, and 1,500 yuan per month for doctoral students. Full scholarships are supported for undergraduate, master's and doctoral students to apply. The scholarship period includes the duration of professional study and Chinese language remedial classes.

3. Partial scholarships: Tuition and on-campus accommodation fees are waived. Some scholarships support applications from Chinese language learners, undergraduates and postgraduates.

Students applying for fine arts or music programs are required to provide their representative paintings or musical works

Certificates of awards received or other achievements (if any)

4. Scholarship applications will be jointly reviewed by Guizhou University and the Department of Education of Guizhou Province. The results of scholarship admissions will be announced in July 2017. Before this, Guizhou University may contact the applicant for a phone interview or request additional information. For the scholarship students who have been confirmed for admission, Guizhou University will mail the scholarship admission notice and the application form for the study visa to China (JW202) before August 2017, so that the new students can report to Guizhou University in September.
