The President's Scholarship for International Students of China Pharmaceutical University was established in 2016, aiming to support outstanding students from all over the world to study and conduct scientific research at the university, cultivate pharmaceutical talents for the world, and promote the development of international pharmaceutical education.

I. Admission Categories, Scholarship Standards and Duration

Note: 1. This scholarship is a partial one and does not cover accommodation, insurance, living expenses, etc.

2. If the scholarship does not cover the full tuition fee, the student shall bear the difference.

The scholarship subsidy standard for students during their study abroad period is 14,000 yuan per year.

Ii. Application Requirements

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

Applicants must hold foreign nationality and be in good physical and mental health.

2. Educational background and age requirements:

2.1 Applicants for an undergraduate degree must be high school graduates and no older than 25 years old.

2.2 To apply for a master's degree, one must hold a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35 years old.

2.3 Applicants for a doctoral degree must hold a master's degree and be no older than 40 years old.

3. Language requirements

3.1 For programs taught in Chinese, students must pass HSK Level 5 or above.

For English-taught programs, an IELTS score of 6.5 or above and a TOEFL score of 90 or above are required.

4. Applicants should have excellent academic performance and strong scientific research capabilities.

Iii. Professional Selection

Applicants can log in the web page http://international.cpu.edu.cn professional admissions list, choose suitable for their own professional. Meanwhile, we encourage master's and doctoral applicants to contact our university's supervisors in advance, provide recommendation letters, and submit them together with other application materials.

Iv. Application Materials

All applicants are required to submit the application form and the following materials (in duplicate)

1. Copy of passport and ID photo;

2. Notarized highest academic degree certificate and transcript. If the applicant is a current student or already employed, they need to submit an additional proof of enrollment issued by their school or an employment certificate issued by their employer. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by Chinese or English translations.

3. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs are required to submit their HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) score reports, while those applying for English-taught programs are required to submit their IELTS or TOEFL score reports.

4. Personal study or research plan (no less than 800 words, written in Chinese or English);

5. Recommendation letter. Applicants for master's or doctoral degrees must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in either Chinese or English. The letters should include the professors' signatures, phone numbers, and email addresses, among other information.

6. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any);

7. A copy of the "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners".

Applicants should strictly undergo the examination in accordance with the items required in the "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners". The "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners" is invalid if it is incomplete, does not have the individual's photo attached, or the photo is not stamped with a cross-stitch seal, or does not have the signatures and seals of the doctor and the hospital. Given that the validity period of the examination results is six months, applicants are requested to determine the time for their physical examination based on this.

Applications with incomplete materials will not be accepted. Whether admitted or not, the application materials will not be returned.

Vii. Admission and Notification

The admission review committee is responsible for reviewing all application materials and determining the admitted candidates based on the applicants' academic abilities and various conditions.

2. The International Office will issue a "Pre-Acceptance Letter" to the students who are decided to be admitted. The students must pay the deposit as required. After the payment is confirmed, the admission notice and JW202 form will be issued.

If a student fails to pay the deposit within the prescribed time or fails to report before the deadline, his or her scholarship will be cancelled.

Vii. Annual Review of Scholarships

The International Office will conduct a comprehensive review of students' scholarship eligibility every year in accordance with the "Annual Review Method for the President's Scholarship", covering aspects such as academic performance, learning attitude, attendance records, school conduct, and rewards and punishments.

Those who pass the review will continue to enjoy the scholarship in the following year. Those who fail the review will have their scholarships suspended or terminated for the next academic year.

3. Those whose scholarships have been suspended must continue their studies at their own expense. Only after passing the review in the second year can one continue to enjoy the scholarship.

4. Those whose scholarships have been officially terminated will not be eligible to reapply for them.

Viii. Remarks

If a student fails to complete his or her studies on schedule for any reason, the scholarship will not be extended.

2. If a student applies for a leave of absence due to illness or other reasons, their scholarship will no longer be retained.

3. The International Office is responsible for interpreting the scholarship awarding procedures and related policies.
