I. Scholarship Content

Full scholarships, specifically including

1. Tuition is waived and free on-campus accommodation is provided.

2. Provide living expenses; 3,500 yuan per month

3. Provide comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China;

The duration of the scholarship is the same as that of each doctoral program at our university (generally 3 to 3.5 years), and the specific study period is subject to the study time stipulated in the admission notice.

Iii. Applicant Qualifications

1. Meet the application qualifications for international doctoral students at Zhejiang University. Please refer to the 2017 Doctoral Graduate Admissions Brochure (click to view).

2. Graduated from the world's top 500 universities (refer to the 2016 World University rankings of institutions such as QS, ARWU, US News, Times Higher, etc.) or top universities in one's own country, with a master's degree, and no more than 40 years old.

3. Excellent academic performance and good potential for academic development.

4. It has been agreed to be accepted by a professor of our university, and the accepting professor has the qualification to recruit students for the "Two Highs" doctoral program.

5. Not having received any other types of scholarships or financial aid simultaneously.

Iv. Application Method

Applicants should first contact the relevant professors through the websites of the relevant departments of our university to confirm whether they can apply for the "Two Highs" doctoral program. Then complete the online application through the website of college of international education, zhejiang university (http://iczu.zju.edu.cn), and submit or mail the paper application materials to the graduate management office of college of international education, zhejiang university.

Note: Please also provide an electronic version of the application materials to the receiving professor.

 

V. Provision of Application Materials

Application Form for International Students of Zhejiang University. Fill in and submit the electronic application information through the Zhejiang University International Student Admission Application System, print the "Zhejiang University International Student Admission Application Form", sign it by yourself and attach a photo.

2. Application Form for Zhejiang University International Student Scholarship - "Two Highs" Doctoral Student Program. Log in to the scholarship application page with the same username and password as in the Zhejiang University International Student Recruitment Application System. After logging in, click on the "Two High" Project Doctoral Student Application on the lower left side of the page, submit and print the "Zhejiang University International Student Scholarship - 'Two High' Doctoral Student Project Application Form", sign it yourself and attach a photo.

3. A copy of the individual's ordinary passport.

4. Zhejiang University Professors' Intention Form for Accepting and Recommending Foreign Students.

5. The original or notarized copy of the highest academic degree certificate. If the applicant is a current student, they need to submit a certificate of enrollment issued by their school. After being admitted, they must also submit the original or notarized copy of their academic certificate. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.

6. Original transcript or notarized copy. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.

7. A copy of the language (Chinese or English) proficiency test scores. Applicants for programs taught in Chinese should provide a copy of their HSK level certificate. Applicants for English-taught programs should provide TOEFL or IELTS score certificates (native English speakers are not required).

8. Personal Statement. Write in Chinese or English. The content includes the individual's study and work experience, reasons for application and research plan.

9. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (except for those accepted by professors from Zhejiang University). Write in Chinese or English, signed by the recommender, and attach the contact number and Email address.

10. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any).

11. Bank remittance voucher for the application fee (400 RMB for the application fee).
