Ii. Applicant Qualifications

1. Meet the admission application qualifications for international doctoral and master's students at Zhejiang University. Please refer to the admission brochure for doctoral students or master's students from abroad.

2. Have a correct attitude towards study and research, and achieve excellent grades.

3. Not having received any other types of scholarships simultaneously;

4. Requirements for the applicant's educational background and age

Those pursuing a doctoral degree must hold a master's degree and be no older than the required age 40 One year old;

Applicants for a master's degree must hold a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35 years old.

Iii. Scholarship Categories and Duration

(1) Class A (Full Scholarship), including:

1. Tuition is waived and free on-campus accommodation is provided.

2. Provide living expenses;

The scholarship living expenses are issued to the students themselves by the school on a monthly basis. The standard is:

● Doctoral students: 2,000 RMB per month

● Master's degree candidates: 1,700 RMB per month

3. Provide comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China;

(2) Category B (Partial Scholarships), including:

1. Free on-campus accommodation is provided;

2. Provide living expenses;

The scholarship living expenses are issued to the students themselves by the school on a monthly basis. The standard is:

● Doctoral students: 2,000 RMB per month

● Master's degree candidates: 1,700 RMB per month

3. Provide comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China;

(3) Scholarship Duration

The duration of the scholarship is the same as the academic system of each major (2-3 academic years for master's students and 3-4 academic years for doctoral students, subject to the study period specified on the admission notice).

Iv. Provision of Application Materials

Application Form for International Students of Zhejiang University. Please log in to complete the application by the student. Generate and print the "Zhejiang University International Student Admission Application Form" through the system, sign it by yourself and attach a photo (white background, 35mm×45mm in size).

2. Zhejiang University Scholarship Application Form for International Students Scholarship applicants should log in to submit their applications, print out the application form, sign it themselves and attach a photo.

3. Zhejiang University Professors' Intention Form for Accepting Foreign Students (if any).

4. The original or notarized copy of the highest academic degree certificate. If the applicant is a current student, they need to submit a certificate of enrollment issued by their school. After being admitted, they must also submit the original or notarized copy of their academic certificate. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.

5. Original transcript or notarized copy. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.

6. A copy of the language (Chinese or English) proficiency test scores. Applicants for programs taught in Chinese should provide a copy of their HSK level certificate. Applicants for English-taught programs should provide TOEFL or IELTS score certificates (native English speakers are not required).

7. A copy of the individual's ordinary passport.

8. Personal Statement. Write in Chinese or English. The content includes the individual's study and work experience, reasons for application and research plan.

9. Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors. Write in Chinese or English, signed by the recommender, and attach the contact number and Email address.

10. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any).

11. Bank remittance voucher for the application fee (400 RMB for the application fee).
