The Shandong University International Freshmen Scholarship is a scholarship program established for outstanding international freshmen, which will provide support for international students to successfully complete their studies at Shandong University.
I. Application Requirements:
(1) Possessing foreign nationality, holding a foreign passport, being friendly to China, and in good physical and mental health.
(2) Comply with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, perform well, and meet the admission requirements of Shandong University.
(3) Diligent in study and with excellent academic performance.
(4) Not having received any other types of scholarships or financial aid simultaneously.
Ii. Funding Explanation
Students who receive such scholarship support are required to pay their tuition and accommodation fees on time. The amount of support is issued in the form of a scholarship and does not need to be used to offset tuition or accommodation fees.

Iv. Application Period: February to May each year
V. Application Method: Please submit the scanned copies of the "Shandong University International Freshman Scholarship Application Form", transcript, and two recommendation letters to apply@sdu.edu.cn. The original application materials should be sent to the international affairs Office of shandong university (Room C301, mingde Building, shandong university, no. 27, Shanda South Road, jinan, China).
Vi. Review: The initial award review results are announced in June each year, and the qualifications of the students who have already won awards are reviewed.
Vii. Scholarship Distribution: The school will distribute the scholarships for the current academic year in a lump sum to the recipients before November 30th each year.
Viii. Others: Scholarship recipients who are unable to report to the school on time due to illness or other personal reasons will not have their scholarship eligibility retained. Those who provide false or fraudulent application materials will have their scholarships reclaimed.
Ix. Any student who has any of the following circumstances during the scholarship collection period will be disqualified from receiving the scholarship for the following year.
(1) Failing to pay tuition fees and other due fees without cause.
(2) Those who have received academic warnings or expulsion warnings.
(3) Those who have violated Chinese laws, regulations and school discipline and rules and have been punished.
(4) There are other circumstances where the scholarship review panel deems it unsuitable to continue receiving the scholarship.
