To attract and encourage more international students from Jinan's international sister cities (including cities with international friendly cooperative relations, hereinafter collectively referred to as "sister cities") to study and conduct scientific research in Jinan's universities, the Jinan Municipal Government has established the "Jinan Sister City Scholarship" (hereinafter referred to as the "Scholarship").
I. Application Requirements:
(1) Citizens holding foreign nationality, coming from sister cities and cities with friendly cooperative relations of Jinan City, being friendly to China and in good health.
(2) Comply with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, perform well, and meet the admission requirements of Shandong University.
(3) Have a correct learning attitude, no violation of school discipline and regulations, and excellent academic performance.
(4) Not having received any other types of scholarships or financial aid simultaneously.
Ii. Funding Standards:
The Jinan Sister City Scholarship is divided into full scholarships and outstanding international student scholarships, mainly used for tuition assistance. Full scholarships are available to full-time international students (including those pursuing doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees) and long-term visiting students (including language or professional training students) with a study period of one academic year or more (including one academic year). The Outstanding International Student Scholarship is open to students who are engaged in language or professional studies within one academic year of study, as well as those on short-term equivalent exchanges. The two scholarships cannot be enjoyed simultaneously.

Please refer to the requirements in the attachment for the application materials. Scanned copies of the materials should be sent to apply@sdu.edu.cn, and the original application materials should be sent to the international affairs office of international affairs, shandong university (Room C301, mingde Building, shandong university, no. 27, Shanda South Road, jinan, China).
All application materials submitted by the applicant will not be returned. International students who have already received scholarships can have their application procedures and materials simplified when they apply again in subsequent academic years. All application materials submitted by the applicant will not be returned.
V. Review: The results of the award review are announced in June and January of the following year, and the qualifications of the students who have won awards are reviewed.
Vi. Scholarship Distribution: The school will distribute the scholarships for the current academic year to the recipients in a lump sum before March 30 and October 30 each year.
Vii. Others: Scholarship recipients who are unable to report to the school on time due to illness or other personal reasons will not have their scholarship eligibility retained. Those who provide false or fraudulent application materials will have their scholarships reclaimed.
Viii. Full scholarships are uniformly managed by the school and are specifically used for the registration fees, tuition fees, laboratory fees, internship fees, basic textbook fees, accommodation fees, insurance fees and part of the living expenses of the scholarship recipients. The outstanding international student scholarship is awarded by the school to the students and is at their own disposal.
