Brochure of the Outstanding Scholarship Program for Studying in China by the Chinese Government

I. Project Introduction
To cultivate global governance talents with broad international vision, excellent comprehensive quality, outstanding leadership ability and cross-cultural background, the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as: CSC) implements the Chinese Government's Outstanding Scholarship Program for International Students in China.

Ii. Project Form

Enrollment scale: 200 students

4. Training methods and duration of funding
In principle, it is a one-year (12-month) master's degree program. Some projects adopt the "1+1" model, which means that students complete full-time basic course study and research work at the project institution in China in the first academic year, and prepare for their dissertations. In the second academic year, they return to their home country, complete their dissertations based on their own job realities, and come to China as required by the institution to defend their dissertations. Those who pass the defense will be awarded their degrees.

Iii. Application Requirements

1. Not a citizen of the People's Republic of China, no more than 45 years old, in good physical and mental health.
2. Have a bachelor's degree or above and at least three years of working experience; Those with a study or work background related to the applied project will be given priority.
3. Applicants must fall into one of the following four categories:
① Public officials at the departmental level (or equivalent) or above in the government departments of the country where they are located;
② Senior managers of institutions, enterprises and other units;
③ Administrative staff of colleges and universities and research institutions;
④ Personnel with relevant working or internship experience in international organizations.
4. Obtain a pre-admission notice issued by the international student admissions department of the applying institution, which must include personal information, the date of enrollment, major information and other necessary information for university registration. It must not contain any information about having received or promising to receive the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Iv. Application Method

1. Online application
The applicant shall be given to the Beijing time login before 23:59 on March 31, 2026 the Chinese government scholarship to study in management information system (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) for online registration, and submit the application materials to the national scholarship.
Applicants should have obtained a pre-admission notice issued by one of the sub-projects listed in this program at the time of application. When applying online, select the scholarship Type as: Type A, the code of the accepting institution is: 1563, and the project to be applied for is: China Government Scholarship for Outstanding Students in China.
2. Acceptance Method
The China Scholarship Council directly accepts individual applications, reviews the materials submitted by the applicants and organizes expert evaluations.

V. Review and Admission

The China Scholarship Council conducts an initial review of the application materials.
2. The China Scholarship Council will organize expert reviews. The final admission results will be determined after the expert review.
