Short-term Research exchange Program of the Chinese Government Scholarship

I. Introduction
To deepen academic friendship and mutual learning among young people at home and abroad and build a platform for the exchange of young scientific research talents worldwide, the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) will continue to implement the China Link program for short-term Scientific Research exchange under the Chinese Government Scholarship in 2026.

Ii. Funding Plan
1. Funding category:
Regular visiting student: Applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled
Advanced Visiting Student: Applicable to current doctoral students and faculty members
2. Funding period: 1 to 12 months, with the start date of coming to China no later than August 31, 2027
3. Language of instruction: English or Chinese, subject to the specific major Settings of Chinese institutions
4. Funding areas: Except for Chinese language, there are no restrictions on other majors


Iii. Funding Content
During the stay in China, you will enjoy full scholarship support, including exemption from tuition fees, on-campus accommodation fees and comprehensive medical insurance fees. Living expenses are provided in accordance with the standards of the Chinese Government Scholarship, among which, 3,000 RMB per month for regular visiting students and 3,500 RMB per month for advanced visiting students.


Iv. Application Requirements
1. Not a citizen of the People's Republic of China, in good physical and mental health;
2. Applicants for regular visiting students should be no older than 45 years old. Applicants for advanced study students should be no older than 50 years old.
3. During the application and participation in the project, applicants must be full-time students or staff members of the overseas partner institutions of the China Scholarship Council. The list of overseas partner institutions is detailed in Attachment 1.
4. Has obtained the admission qualification from Chinese institutions. The list of Chinese institutions is detailed in Attachment 2.


V. Application Process
Applicants should get in touch with Chinese institutions in advance to obtain admission qualifications. Suggested to the applicant
Consult the international student admissions department of Chinese institutions as early as possible to confirm the specific deadline for admission applications (requirements may vary from school to school).
2. The applicant login Chinese government scholarship to study in management information system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login)
Complete the online application for the scholarship. After submitting the application, contact the international student admissions department of the Chinese institution via email or the designated channel of the institution, and clearly inform the following information: "My name + CSC application serial number + application for China Link Scholarship".
The scholarship application port is open to applicants throughout the year.
3. Chinese institutions accepting applications for the China Link Scholarship must submit the list of candidates to the China Scholarship Council at least two months before the students come to China.
4. The China Scholarship Council regularly feeds back the scholarship admission results to Chinese institutions on a monthly basis.
5. Chinese institutions will notify the applicants of the scholarship admission results.
