Introduction to the First Scholarship
To develop friendly relations between Chinese trade unions and trade union organizations of other countries, enhance friendship between the Chinese working class and working classes of other countries, and contribute to world peace, development, cooperation, workers' rights and interests, and social progress, the "Belt and Road" Trade Union Cadres Chinese Language Study Scholarship Program (hereinafter referred to as: the Scholarship) is established.
The scholarship is mainly established for trade union cadres from countries along the "Belt and Road". It fully funds the scholarship recipients to study Chinese in China for one academic year, covering tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses, comprehensive insurance fees and one-time round-trip international airfare. The project funds are provided by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
Funding category: Outstanding trade union cadres with certain working experience from trade unions along the "Belt and Road" countries come to China for further study of the Chinese language.
Funding period: One academic year (12 months)

● Living expenses: During the scholarship period, the living expenses will be issued by the school to the students on a monthly basis. Scholarship students who register at the school before the 15th day of the month (inclusive) will be granted the full monthly living expenses. For those who register after fifteen days, half a month's living expenses will be issued. The living expenses for graduates will be issued until half a month after the graduation date determined by the school. Scholarship students who leave China for more than 15 days during their study period (excluding normal holidays) due to personal reasons will have their living expenses suspended.
● Tuition Fees: Tuition fees are pooled and used by the school for the cultivation, management of scholarship students, and organization of activities, etc.
● Accommodation fee: The accommodation fee is managed and used by the school, and the school provides free dormitories on campus.
● Comprehensive Medical Insurance: Study abroad by the state foundation unified purchase pay (content and claim insurance program, please visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org guide to the foreign students comprehensive introduction of medical treatment insurance and claims ").
● One-time round-trip international airfare: It is pooled and used by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to purchase international air tickets (economy class) from the scholarship student's home country to the city where the school is located for their first visit to China and their return after completing their studies.
Application requirements
1. Non-chinese citizens from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative are preferred.
2. Good physical and mental health.
3. Applicants must have a high school diploma or above and be no older than 45 years old.
4. Must have certain experience in trade union work; Those with working experience in communication with China are preferred.
5. Has not simultaneously received other scholarships from the Chinese government.
The second list of application materials
1. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (in Chinese or English);
2. Notarized highest academic degree certificate. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. Academic transcript. Texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. Study or research plan in China (no less than 500 words, written in either Chinese or English);
Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardians in China.
Applicants who plan to study in China for more than six months must submit a scanned copy of the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (keep the original by yourself. This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine department. The template is attached below and must be filled out in English). Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" for the examination. The "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" is invalid if there are any missing items, if the applicant's photo is not attached, if the photo is not stamped with a cross-stitch seal, or if there are no signatures and seals from the doctor and the hospital. Given that the validity period of the examination results is six months, applicants are requested to determine the time for their physical examination based on this.
7. Personal resume (including personal background information and study and work experience after high school) (upload to "Other Supporting Materials" in the system).
Note: Applicants must provide true and valid corresponding documents as required by the above list and upload clear scanned copies in the online application system. Application materials that do not meet the above requirements will affect the admission result of the applicant.
The third application process
Step 1: The applicant should prepare the corresponding documents as required by the application materials list.
Step 2: Visit the "Study in China" website, click on the icon of "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for International Students in China" to enter the application system.

Step 3: The type of study abroad program and the number of the accepting institution are mandatory fields in the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for International Students in China". Please select the "Class A" study abroad program type. The handling institution number is "00009".
After the applicant fills in the form, the system will automatically display the name of the receiving department represented by the institution number filled in. There is a corresponding relationship between the types of study abroad programs and the numbers of the receiving institutions. If the information is filled in incorrectly, the scholarship receiving department will not be able to receive the online application information.
Step 4: Complete the entry of all application information one by one according to the list on the left side of the page and upload supplementary materials. Please ensure the accuracy, authenticity and validity of the information and materials.
When filling in the "Language Proficiency and Study Plan", please select according to the following categories:
Application category: General Education, Language of Instruction for Application: Chinese, Discipline Category for Application: Literature
Applied major: Chinese Language. Applied University I: Beijing Language and Culture University (As this program involves concentrated class study, please select "None" for applied universities II and III)
Application period for study: From September 1st of the current year to July 15th of the following year
Step 5: Please carefully check all the information and supplementary materials before submitting the application.
Step 6: Before the application is accepted, the applicant can modify the submitted application by clicking "Withdraw and Modify Application". After an application is withdrawn, the applicant must resubmit it after editing; otherwise, the application will not be accepted.
Step 7: It is recommended that applicants click on "Print Application" to download the application form.

Applicants must complete all application information in either Chinese or English.
To ensure that the admission materials are accurately and timely mailed to the candidates themselves, please make sure that the "Current Contact Information" in the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for International Students in China" is accurate, detailed and valid.
Notes for the Fourth Visit to China
I. Visa for China
Candidates who have been eligible for the scholarship must present the original and photocopies of the Admission Notice, the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to Study in China (JW201 Form), and the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners. And apply for a study visa to China at the Chinese embassy (Consulate General) or other Chinese visa authorities abroad with your valid ordinary passport (those who come to study in China for more than six months must apply for an "X1" visa; those who come to study for less than six months can apply for an "X2" visa). Those who come to China holding other types of passports or visas or without the original copies of the above-mentioned documents will not be registered by the school and will not be able to apply for residence in China.
All expenses incurred for applying for a visa to China shall be borne by the individual.
Ii. Registration, health certification and residence permit
1. Check-in and registration
Scholarship recipients must present the original copies of the Admission Notice, the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to Study in China (JW201 Form), and the Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, etc., and report to the designated school on the date specified in the Admission Notice to complete the registration procedures. Those who are unable to report on time for any reason should directly ask for leave from the relevant school. Those who fail to report on time without the school's approval will be treated as having automatically given up their student status, and their scholarship eligibility will be automatically cancelled.
2. Health certification and residence permit
Health Certification: Scholarship students who plan to study in China for more than six months must, upon arrival in China, present the original copies of their passport, Admission Notice, Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, and blood test results, etc., to the local health quarantine department of the school to apply for health certification. Those who fail the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" will be required to undergo a physical examination again. Those who refuse to undergo a physical examination or are found to have diseases that are prohibited from entering China as stipulated by Chinese law will be ordered to leave the country and return to China within a specified period.
Residence Permit: After arriving in China, scholarship students must, within the time limit set by the visa authority, present their passports, the Admission Notice, the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to Study in China (JW201 Form), valid health certificates and photos that meet the requirements to the local public security department of the school to handle the residence permit procedures.
