The 2024 Job Fair for International Students in China and the "Double Hundred" Matching Conference for International Young Talents in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region were successfully held in Beijing

To implement the national "Belt and Road Initiative", meet the international talent demands of employers, support the high-quality development of Chinese enterprises and schools, and facilitate internships, employment and entrepreneurship for international students in China, the Ministry of Education's China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange is hosting The "2024 Job Fair for International Students in China and the 'Double Hundred' Matching Conference for International Young Talents in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region" (hereinafter referred to as the "Job Fair"), co-organized by Peking University and the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, was successfully held in Beijing on May 18th. On the day of the event, Xi Ru, a second-level inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Wang Daquan, director of the Ministry of Education's Overseas Study Service Center, Xia Jianhui, deputy director of the center, Wang Bo, vice President and Dean of the Academic Affairs Office of Peking University, Hu Yixiong, director of the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, and Zeng Fulin, deputy director of the Center, visited the exhibition site and had cordial conversations with the participating units and students.

  More than 30 well-known enterprises and institutions participated in this job fair, including CRRC Corporation Limited, Sinopec Engineering & Construction Co., LTD., Huawei Technologies (Asia Pacific) Co., LTD., Tongfang Vision Technology Co., LTD., Westlake University, etc., covering multiple industry sectors such as IT and Internet, business and accounting, education and training, engineering construction, and medical and health care. To introduce high-level international young talents for the high-quality development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, along with some of the enterprises and schools that have settled in the "Double Hundred" International Young Talent Matching Conference (GT²HR) platform of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, jointly participated in this job fair, which became a major highlight of the event.

  On the day of the job fair, nearly 1,800 foreign students from over 60 domestic universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University, University of International Business and Economics, Fudan University, Nankai University and Nanjing University of Science and Technology came to visit the exhibition. The atmosphere on the spot was very lively. The international students attending the conference come from over 110 countries including the United States, Canada, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Egypt, Algeria, etc.

  At the job fair, the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Immigration Affairs Service Center of the National Immigration Administration held promotional activities on relevant policies and measures for international talents' internships, employment, entrepreneurship and settlement in China and Beijing. The presentation meeting attracted the enthusiastic participation and active interaction of international students and representatives of the participating units. Many students said they "gained a lot".

Since 2016, the Ministry of Education's China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange has successfully held 9 job fairs for international students coming to China, gathering nearly 330 employers to participate and attracting nearly 25,000 international students to visit. The successful holding of the job fair has provided talent and intellectual support for the international development of Chinese enterprises and schools. It has also built a platform for overseas students to intern, work and start businesses in China, improved the service system for international students in China, and enhanced the added value and appeal of the "Study in China" brand.
